Privacy Policy for the game "Sail in Sight"

Last updated: 14.10.2026

This is a single-player game for Android. We run no server of our own and offer no accounts of our own. This policy says which data is still processed and by whom.

1. Controller

Quolz-Systems, Schwändeli 1, 6318 Walchwil, Switzerland, hello@quolz-systems.ch

2. What stays on your device

Your saved game and your settings (language, volume and similar) are stored in files of the app on your device. We do not receive them. If you delete the app or its data they are gone, unless a backup exists under sections 3 and 4.

3. Backup by Android (Auto Backup)

Android can back up the app's files (saved game, settings) to your Google Account if you have backup switched on on your device. The operating system does this with Google as the provider, not the app. You switch it on or off in the Android settings under "Google" → "Backup", where you can also delete backups.

4. Google Play Games Services (sign-in and cloud save)

The game can sign you in to Google Play Games Services and store your saved game with Google as a "Saved Game", so that you can continue after a reinstall or on another device. Google processes your player identity (gamertag, avatar), the stored game with an identifier of which device is currently playing, and technical diagnostic data. The data is sent to Google encrypted and is not shared with other games. Google is independently responsible for this: https://policies.google.com/privacy. If you do not sign in, the saved game stays on the device (and in the backup of section 3). You can delete your game data through your Play Games profile (https://play.google.com/games/profile) or your Google Account (https://myaccount.google.com).

Legal basis: your wish to use sign-in and cloud save [Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR].

5. Advertising (Google AdMob) and consent

The game shows optional rewarded video ads that you watch to receive an in-game reward. For this we use the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob). It processes technical data of your device: advertising ID, IP address (from which the approximate location can be derived), device and diagnostic information, and your interaction with the ad, and passes it to Google and participating advertising partners for ad delivery, measurement and fraud prevention. Transfer is encrypted with TLS.

Consent. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland a consent prompt (Google User Messaging Platform) asks for your consent when the game starts, before any ad is loaded. Your choice is stored on your device. Without consent Google shows limited ads or none, as Google's procedure provides. You can change your decision in the game. You can reset or delete the advertising ID in the Android settings under "Privacy" → "Ads".

Legal basis: your consent [Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR]. Information from Google: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads and https://policies.google.com/privacy.

6. Sharing

If you tap "Share", the app creates an image on your device and hands it to the app you choose in the Android share sheet. What that app does with it is up to that app.

7. No other data

We collect no location, no contacts, no photos and no names. We use no analytics or crash-reporting services other than the Google services named above, and we keep no profile of you.

8. Children

The game is not directed at children under 13.

9. Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection, and you can withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. Because we hold very little data ourselves, these rights mostly apply against Google (sections 3 to 5).

Questions to us: hello@quolz-systems.ch

10. Transfers to third countries, retention

Google may process data in the USA and other countries (standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision, according to Google). We ourselves store no data about you. How long Google stores data is governed by Google's privacy policy and by what you delete in your Google Account.

11. Changes

If the game changes (for example through in-app purchases), we will adapt this policy and show the new date at the top.
